MODERN Portal Bioethanol Fireplace – Matt Black with Glass

Make real flames the focal point of your room with MODERN, a black bioethanol fireplace with a tall surround and glass front. The matt black finish gives its simple shape a strong presence, especially against a lighter wall. Powered by liquid bioethanol, it brings a cosy atmosphere and supplementary warmth without a chimney connection.

Why choose MODERN?

• A complete fireplace look: the steel surround frames the fire without a bespoke built-in enclosure.
• Matt black finish: a dark accent that complements warm wood and lighter interiors.
• A clear view of the fire: the tempered glass front keeps the flames visible.
• Integrated flame control: built into the stainless steel burner; operate it as directed in the supplied instructions.
• Two installation options: floor-standing with wall fixing, or wall-mounted, subject to the manufacturer's installation requirements.

The upright surround draws the eye towards the fire, while its black finish works with brick, natural wood and neutral furnishings. It suits a room where you want a defined fireplace feature without a wide horizontal surround. Plan the position around the required clearances and suitable wall materials.

Before you light it

Read the supplied instructions before installation. Use a suitable non-combustible wall and, for floor-standing installation, a stable, heat-resistant surface. Secure the fireplace as instructed and maintain the required clearances and room ventilation.

Use the specified fuel, keep the fire supervised and follow the instructions for flame control and extinguishing. Refill only after the flame is extinguished and the burner has cooled completely. Do not move or detach the fireplace while it is lit or hot.
