MODERN Portal Bioethanol Fireplace – Textured Matt White with Glass

Bring the character of a traditional fireplace into your home with MODERN, a white bioethanol fireplace with a tall, simple surround and glass front. Its textured matt finish creates a calm backdrop for real flames, while the dark firebox adds contrast. Powered by liquid bioethanol, it provides a cosy atmosphere and supplementary warmth without a chimney connection.

Why choose MODERN?

• A complete fireplace look: the steel surround frames the fire without a bespoke built-in enclosure.
• Textured matt white finish: a soft, neutral colour for contemporary and traditional interiors.
• A clear view of the fire: the tempered glass front keeps the flames visible.
• Integrated flame control: built into the stainless steel burner; operate it as directed in the supplied instructions.
• Two installation options: floor-standing with wall fixing, or wall-mounted, subject to the manufacturer's installation requirements.

The upright shape gives MODERN a distinct presence without a wide horizontal surround. Pair its white finish with natural wood, warm neutrals or a contrasting wall to create a considered focal point. Plan the position around the required clearances and suitable wall materials.

Technical specifications

The burn-time figure is per litre, not per filling. Follow the permitted fill level in the instructions; nominal capacity is not a filling instruction. MODERN is intended for decorative use and supplementary warmth, not as your main heating source.

Before you light it

Read the supplied instructions before installation. Use a suitable non-combustible wall and, for floor-standing installation, a stable, heat-resistant surface. Secure the fireplace as instructed and maintain the required clearances and room ventilation.

Use the specified fuel, keep the fire supervised and follow the instructions for flame control and extinguishing. Refill only after the flame is extinguished and the burner has cooled completely. Do not move or detach the fireplace while it is lit or hot.
