Yes, a biofireplace is a great supplementary heat source. It can raise the room temperature by about 2–3°C in a short time. However, it should not be relied upon as the primary heating system. For best results, the size of the fireplace should be matched to the size of the room. In a space of around 25 m², the heat output is generally noticeable.
Biofireplaces are suitable for houses and flats alike. They should be placed on non-flammable surfaces, such as concrete or brick walls. They can also be used in gardens or on terraces in good weather – just make sure to protect the unit from moisture when necessary.
Our fireplaces require liquid bioethanol fuel with a concentration not exceeding 96%. We strongly recommend using our own brand of biofuel for optimal performance. Gel fuels are not recommended.

Burn time depends on flame size and the model of the fireplace. On average, 1 litre of fuel lasts between 2 and 4 hours.

Every fireplace comes with a flame snuffer that blocks the oxygen supply to the burner. This extinguishes the flame within seconds. Once the burner has cooled, the fireplace is ready to use again.
Since biofuel burns without producing soot or smoke, cleaning is easy. Simply wipe the fireplace with a soft microfibre cloth to remove any dust or residue.
